Marrissa Fontella Uzzell-Kirk was born 7/1/1967 to Judy Faye Moore and Gerald Taylor in Goldsboro, NC.

Marrissa graduated from McKinley Sr. High School in Washington DC. After graduation she returned to Goldsboro where she attended Wayne Community College. She was affectionately known as “Mush” and was the oldest grandchild and 1st niece in the Uzzell family.

Marrissa later moved to Austin TX where she met her husband Tyrone Lynn Kirk at the IBM workplace. Later they became the loving parents of two beautiful daughters Asia Lynn and Zia Lynn Kirk.

Marrissa was called home on the day of her anniversary, October 7,2020, shortly after her husband Tyrone arrived. She was made perfect again as she was greeted in Heaven by those preceding her in death. Welcoming her home with loving arms were her parents Judy and Gerald; her grandmother Margaret; her Uncle El, Uncle Pookie, Uncle Jimmy, Uncle Donnell and Aunt Roz.

She leaves to carry on her love for life, her family and friends; and yes her dance moves. Those left to cherish her precious memories are her husband Tyrone Kirk; daughters: Asia Davis (Dejuan) and Zia Kirk; three grandchildren: Alina, Myla and Zacora Davis; grandmother Elma Jean Taylor (Dudley NC), two sisters: Kishea Montgomery and Jeneen Moore; nieces and nephews: Domencio, Yani, Epiphany, Lateria, Laky, Lakia, (all of Texas); a host of aunts and uncles: Dinah Tootle (George), Norris Uzzell (Paulette), Norman Uzzell, Markham Uzzell (Ann), Daniel Uzzell (Debra), Pamela Uzzell, Wiley Lee and Beverly Taylor, all of Goldsboro, NC.

My sincere condolences to my great nieces, my nephew Tyrone and the grandchildren of my niece Marrissa🙏🏽 Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can’t heal. I pray for comfort during your hour of bereavement. Although I never had the opportunity to meet my lovely niece my heart is heavy but knowing that she is with the Lord I will see her one day. I know you loved her but God loved her best.
Love Always your loving Aunt Katrina Wright-Allison
