Obituary

A Time To Be Born....
Dorothy Lindsey was born in Paducah, Tx, to the union of Lewis and X'Ora Chafer on April 1, 1939. She was the youngest of six children. On April 3, 1957 she met and married Robert (Red) Lindsey and to this union nine children were born.
A Time To Cherish.....
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved fishing. She was known to all as "Mama Granny," and also was known for her tea cakes. In 1966, she became a member of Bibleway COGIC until she relocated to Hollis, OK. Many may not have known her story nor all of the things she had been through. She did not let anything keep her form living a life of purpose. She was member of Calvary Community Church in Hollis, Oklahoma until she gained her wings.
A Time To Mourn....
Om December 26, 2019, in the year of our Lord, Dorothy Lindsey stepped in a prepared place for prepared people. She heard the master say, "come ye blessed of my father inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." Matthew 25 verse 34. She is now reunited with her husband, Robert (Red) Lindsey, her parents; three brothers; one sister' and a granddaughter, whom preceded her in death.
He Will Not Leave You Comfortless....
Those left with fond and precious memories are her loving children, Neva Ingram (Forest Hill, Tx.), Deartis Frasier and his wife, Charlotte Renee (Duncanville, Tx), Renessia Rogers, Patricia Lindsey, Robert Don Lindsey, Kenneth Lindsey and his wife, Tammy, all of Fort Worth, Tx, Vivian Lindsey of Magum, Ok and Marvin Lindsey of Iowa Park, Tx. She has 24 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Willie Mae Phenix of Mansfield, Tx.; one sister-in-law, Annie Anderson of Fort Worth, Tx; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
