Obituary

DAVID SCOTT WATKINS
February 4, 1969 - August 18, 2020

Dave Watkins, an Import Customs Specialist, passed away in Arlington, TX on August 18, 2020 at the age of 51.

Dave was born in Chicago, IL and lived all around the country until finally landing in Texas, a state he had always loved. Dave graduated from Glenbard East High School in 1987 and the College of DuPage with a degree in Accounting. He served with the US Army where he drove an M1 Abrams Tank in Desert Storm. Dave took pride in his membership with the American Legion, ex-Military groups, and the gaming community. He had a great love for role-playing games (RPG) and beating everyone at Trivial Pursuit. In his free time, Dave also played pool, frequented gun ranges, and read books. Dave placed his trust in Jesus, loved the Lord and found Him in all he did.

Dave is survived by his mother, Darlene Watkins; his brother, Rich (Jen) Abraham; nephew, Grayson; nieces, Nora and Harmony; ex-wife, Cathy, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A memorial service will take place at a future date. Donations in Dave’s memory may be sent to the Wanatah American Legion Post 403.

Dave, You will always be my brother in law. I have always had a huge soft spot for you. I cannot believe you are gone. My heart is absolutely broken. I will miss your humor and gentle ways. You truly were loved. I hope that deep down you knew that. I will see you again one day. Hope my mansion is next to yours. I love you. Patty
